제주도 저지오름 입구 모습 - 마을 풍경

후기들이 꽤 좋다.

저지오름 주변의 마을에서 점심식사를 했다.

아이를 돌보면 아내와 교대하고, 아내가 식사를 하는 동안 아기를 안고 동네를 한 바퀴 둘러봤다.

이곳의 명물은 저지오름이다.

올라가보지는 못했지만, 그 입구의 모습이 꽤 근사했다.

멋진 보호수도 있었다.

저지오름 저지리 산 51번지 일원으로 저지악이라고 표기한다. 해발고도 239m, 비고 100m, 분화구 둘레 800m, 깊이 62m인 화산체로 정상이 깔때기 형태를 띤 원형의 분화구를 갖추고 있는 오름이다. 저지오름이란 명칭은 마을이름이 저지' (옛이름: 닥몰)로 되면서 생겼다. 저지오름은 닥모르 또는 새오름으로 불리기도 한다. 저지오름 일대에는 가메창오름, 허릿당 등이 자리하고 있어 마을의 역사를 대변하고 있다. 예부터 저지오름은 초가집을 덮을 때 사용했던 새 (띠)를 생산하던 곳이었으나 마을주민들의 힘으로 나무를 심어 오늘의 울창한 숲을 조성하였으며 2005년 생명의 숲으로 지정되어 지금에 이르고 있다. Its peak lies at an altitude of 239 meters with a relative height of 100 meters and the cone-shaped crater at the top is 800 meters in circumference and 62 meters in depth. The origin of the name, Jeoji Oreum derived from the villages' name where it is located. In addition, the oreum is also called Dangmoru and SaeOreum. The history of Jeoji Oreum is reflected in certain areas such as a shrine called Heoritdang located at the foot of the oreum, and also nearby Gamechang Oreum. Jeoji Oreum had long been the area of thatch production which used for making traditional thatch-roofed houses. From that time on, the villagers have made effort to plant trees here, creating the lush forest of today. It is designated as “Forest of Life" in 2005.
